Why AnaYela Place of Inspiration?
Can you imagine a hotel that is itself a great big work of art? One that steals your breath away and fills your heart with the promise of romance?
Named AnaYela, this architectural concept is formed out of a 300-year-old palace that sits in the heart of the Marrakech Medina (the ancient city centre). The architecture tells the story of 16-year-old Yela, a girl who once lived in the house and fell in love with a boy who took her flying over the rooftops on a magic carpet.
So What Happened Next??
We won’t spoil the end of the story but we will say that you really need to read it for yourself: not least because it’s written across the vast doors of the hotel like pages in a giant book, hammered into the silver by the hand of a renowned Moroccan calligrapher.
In fact, everything at AnaYela is hand-made and hand-finished. No modern tools were used in the reconstruction of the palace, and it took more than 100 artisans to carry out all the work.
They call AnaYela “a place of inspiration” — and with its ancient legends, romantic stories, impeccably designed building and lavish hand-crafted furnishings, they’re not lying. Book in now to see for yourself.
