Why Arena Di Verona Summer Opera Festival?

Imagine a life where you could stroll the most romantic streets in the world, admire the balcony where Romeo serenaded Juliet and watch opera in a two-thousand-year-old Roman amphitheatre. Sound like your idea of heaven? Mine too!

For two months, between late June and late August 2016, the stunning Arena di Verona will be the setting for five of the most iconic operas ever written. And if that’s not enough - there’s also the finest ballet performers.

Whether nineteenth century Seville is your bag or whether ancient Egypt and China are more your cup of tea - the world’s most stunning amphitheatre will be transformed for Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s Aida and La Traviata and Puccini’s Turandot. Though if ballet is the dance you dance, Roberto Bolle and Friends also perform for one night only.

What's so special about the world's best Opera venue?

That's a rhetorical question! With La Traviata recently polling as the world’s most popular opera (populopera?) tickets will be going like hot cakes. So if you want to hear Nessun Dorma as it was intended, under the perfect, open evening air of Northern Italy... you better act quick - before the fat lady sings!
