Crankworx Rotorua Festival

New Zealand

Why Crankworx Rotorua Festival?

New Zealand. Aotearoa. The Land of the Long White Cloud. But if we have it our way, the only clouds you’ll be seeing this spring are the clouds of dust left by mountain bikers as they shout “Eat my dust” at their fellow competitors!

If you’re a mountain biker or just an adrenaline junky, The Crankworx Rotorua Festival has everything you need to pump your calf muscles and fill your noggin with that adrenaline you crave.

Mixing the world’s greatest mountain biking celebration with breath-taking, ancient Maori traditions, Crankworx descends on Skyline Rotorua Gravity Park to bring the world’s downhill, slopestyle and enduro legends together with the superfans, rising stars, industry innovators and the next generation of mountain bike riders for five days of competition and mountain bike mayhem!

What makes this the most authentic festival of them all?

On your first afternoon, as steaming geysers billow throughout the valley and spine-tingling tribal warrior’s cries fill the air, the opening ceremony will bring Maori culture to life with a captivating ceremonial welcome (powhiri) to kick off the epic week...

Sampling the finest tipples and tasting the local delicacies from food stalls you can immerse yourself in mountain biking culture as Rotorua plays host to Speed and Style, Downhill and Enduro event and a Slopestyle event in memory of MTB legend McGazza. There will also be a raft of other events surrounding the festival for amateur and non-bikers, including a music festival featuring top New Zealand artists like previous headliners The Black Seeds!

With day passes starting at NZ$40 and week-passes at just $80, you better get your skates on and sign up!
