Rock Climbing Sardinia. The ideal holiday for rookies or experienced climbers
Even some of the greatest passions start out as a fumble up against a wall in a converted youth centre - mine certainly did!
I am, of course, talking about the passion for rock climbing… if you haven’t been bitten by the bug, why not start on one of the Mediterranean’s most stunning islands because this incredible holiday is perfect for climbers of all experience.
Sardinia is a beautiful contradiction - where timeless fishing villages and Caribbean-like seas meet sun-scorched mountains; thick with pine forests and dramatic cliffs, hidden crags and rugged gorges that provide exhilarating climbs for rock climbers of all ages and levels.
What's the crack?
This seven night holiday includes up to six days climbing instruction under expert supervision from Rock and Sun instructors. Under the imposing grey peaks of three mountains, you’ll sleep like babies in bungalows within walking distance of the crags and Cala Gonone village with its small harbour and gorgeous beaches.
Offering many different rock styles from slabs, steep walls and fierce overhangs on hard limestone rock, Cala Gonone will soon help hone your skills plus there’s a gnarly canyon that makes a great playground for the more experienced climber seeking a new challenge.
