Why the Sky High Whisky Adventure?

Every so often we all feel the need to kick back, relax and enjoy a wee dram but aside from the jam-packed regattas, jamborees and festivals, where the discerning gentleman and his loved one to go to find peace, quiet and pure indulgence? How about a long weekend in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland with The Sky High Whisky Adventure?

This trip is for high-flyers in both senses of the word. Those suffering from vertigo and large pay checks need not apply as you’ll be riding helicopters and luxury cruisers!

You’ll head to the shores of Loch Ness, travel along the Great Glen, walk the foothills of mighty Ben Nevis and stay for two luxurious, Michelin-starred dining and whisky-fuelled dreamy nights at Inverlochy Castle - a world renowned Relais & Châteaux castle.

Gimme the prize! Tell me about the whisky!

You’ll soar over the Isle of Skye on an exclusive helicopter trip, see the famed Jacobite Steam Train making its way along through Scotland’s stunning scenery and over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Then it’s on to a private luxury cruiser up Loch Leven for fantastic views towards breathtaking and eerie Glencoe, the site of the infamous 1692 Clan Battle between Clan MacDonald and Clan Campbell. And yes, you can pretend to be an immortal Highlander!

Then, the real fun begins as you embark on a private tour and whisky tasting… or, to use its proper name, what Highlanders affectionately call “water of life”!

For, on the banks of Loch Harport lies the Talisker Distillery, Scotland’s only island distillery where they’ve been distilling for almost two hundred years. The good news is, as Monarch of the Glen, you can taste them all! The highlight being their 10YRO malt - described as having a rich, dried fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense.

In short:

  • Spend a long weekend in a Michelin-starred Scottish, Highland castle
  • Sample the world’s best whiskies
  • Visit Talisker Distillery, Ben Nevis, Loch Ness & The Isle of Skye
  • Helicopter and luxury boat trips to stunning locations
  • Don a kilt and become a Highlander on the Sky High Whisky Adventure!
