This Is How They Do Festivals Down Under.
Head down under, throw on some fringe vests and cut off jean shorts and get ready for a wild music festival in Australia. The Splendour in the Grass Festival is Australia’s answer to the United States’ Coachella Festival, where music enthusiasts come together for three days of top acts including Kendrick Lemar, Vampire Weekend and Lorde.
The festival takes place near Byron Bay and is a veritable orgy of music, DJs, cocktail bars and comedy clubs. With onsite camping available, it offers more than just a stellar lineup of musical acts.
What Happens At Splendour In The Grass?
The Splendour in the Grass Festival is home to a Global Village where cultural fusion reaches a boiling point with world acts and dance; and for those who ever dreamt of living out their Indian Summer fantasies, there is a Tipi Forest (yes, with actual tipis) where art, music and dance converge for a moonlight-fueled party amongst the trees and stars.
The Splendour in the Grass Festival takes place annually and is planned this year for July 2018, promising three action-packed days of enough music, art and dance to satiate the appetite of even the most hard to please music fan.
